Food Grade Paper Coated Sheet Wholesale Single or Double Wall Pe Raw Material for Paper Cup Waterproof White Beverage Virgin
Production Introduction
Process of Making Paper for Paper Cups from Pure Wood Pulp
1. Wood Pulp Preparation
● Select virgin wood (e.g., pine, birch) and debark it. The wood is chipped into small pieces, then cooked with water and chemicals (like sodium hydroxide) in a digester at high temperature/pressure to break down fibers into pure wood pulp. Impurities are removed via screening and washing.
2. Pulping and Refining
● The pulp is diluted into a slurry and sent to a refiner, where mechanical agitation strengthens fiber bonding. Additives (e.g., wet strength resins for water resistance) may be incorporated at this stage to meet paper cup standards (e.g., tensile strength ≥3.5 N/m).
3. Forming the Paper Sheet
● The refined slurry is poured onto a moving mesh conveyor in a paper machine. Water drains through the mesh, leaving fibers to form a wet paper web. The web is pressed to remove excess water and passed through drying cylinders (heated to 120–150°C) to evaporate moisture, resulting in a dry paper sheet (moisture content ≤6%).
4. Calendaring and Surface Treatment
● The paper is calendared (passed through heated rollers) to achieve a smooth, uniform surface for printing and lamination. For food-grade use, it may undergo additional treatments like corona discharge to enhance PE...
